NEHS St. Louis Workshop

The National English Honor Society will be holding its first in-person workshop for student members at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark hotel in St. Louis, MO, from April 4 to April 6, 2024, alongside the Sigma Tau Delta Centennial Convention. We have recently sent out a survey to all Lead Advisors asking them to register their interest in attending the workshop with their students. The deadline to complete this survey is September 11, 2023.

Student attendees can look forward to hearing keynote speaker Carl Phillips, improving their creative writing skills, competing in a speech competition, and making presentations at an international academic convention.

Attending student members will not only meet and interact with other NEHS student members from across the USA and around the world at an organized academic event, but they will also be able to learn with and from each other—developing communication, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative skills. In addition to improving their creative writing abilities, learning how to engage audiences as public speakers, and crafting their own keynote presentations, students will also have the opportunity to develop friendships that we hope will remain strong after the workshop has finished.

All NEHS student participants will receive an official certificate of participation at the NEHS workshop.

More information about the workshops is available on the NEHS website.
