New Literacy Initiative Grants

The new NEHS Literacy Initiative Grant seeks to provide financial support to deserving community-focused nonprofit organizations working to promote literacy among children and young people around the world.

A total of $3,000 is available to support organizations in one of the following categories:

  • Literacy-focused nonprofit community organizations working with children and young people based within the city hosting the Sigma Tau Delta Convention (in 2024: St. Louis, MO).
  • Literacy-focused nonprofit community organizations working with children and young people located anywhere in the world.

NEHS aims to use this award to recognize the phenomenal work being undertaken to promote literacy at the local level and has chosen to offer the grant to organizations located outside the Sigma Tau Delta convention city, and outside the US, in order to represent the thousands of communities in 32 countries in which NEHS is present around the world.

Do you know of any literacy-focused nonprofit organizations working with children and young people in your community whose programs would benefit from financial support?

If so, please let us know and we will reach out to them with further details about the grant.

Applications must be made in the NEHS AwardSpring platform through Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 11:59 p.m. CDT..
