NCTE Position Statement on Educators as Readers

National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) has announced the following:

NCTE announces the release of an updated position statement, Educators as Readers: Forming Book Groups as Professionals. The statement reflects NCTE’s longstanding belief, as cited across policy documents and publications, of ‘the vital nature of professional learning for literacy educators and the essential role of reading as part of daily and professional lives.” It offers guidance on literacy educators forming book groups.
