New Awards, Grants, and Scholarships for 2023-2024

NEHS is updating its awards, grants, and scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year.

NEHS Chapter Advisors will benefit from a new and improved package of benefits including Professional Support Grants providing financial support for teachers looking to attend a convention/conference, purchase professional texts, or develop DEI projects. Chapter Advisors will also be able to apply for new NEHS-Smithsonian American Art Museum Summer Institute scholarships and NEHS Enrichment Grants.

Students will benefit from a range of new creative challenges and competitions. NEHS will be offering poetry writing, scriptwriting, and documentary filmmaking challenges throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. We are also happy to announce that we will be encouraging student journalism through the new Student Publication Award and Student Article Award competitions we will be running in collaboration with the Harvard Crimson.

We will also be providing support to non-profit community literacy organizations around the world through our new Literacy Initiative Grants. We look forward to receiving nominations for the grants from Chapter Advisors and student members.

Look out for more details about our awards, grants, and scholarships throughout the year.
