January Poetry Challenge

We had a record number of students and advisors who submitted entries for the December Poetry Challenge based on the theme of “Friendship.” Congratulations to students Gracie Bott (St. Mary’s Dominican High School, New Orleans, LA), Karla Fidalgo (Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami, FL), Kelsey Frishman (Coral Reef Senior High School, Miami, FL), and Delaney Rinard (Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, Tampa, FL). Also, Advisors John Mckewon (Uskudar American Academy, Istanbul), Andrea Rinard (Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, Tampa, FL), and Natalie Rebetsky (Linganore High School, Frederick, MD) were published.

January entries, focused on the theme of “Opportunities,” must be submitted by January 15. Each month, the best of the entries will be published; at the end of the school year, the Advisory Council will select the most outstanding, garnering for the writers’ monetary awards.
