Chapter Spotlight for Best Chapter Activities & Projects

Is your chapter developing innovative academic or community-focused projects? If so, then you should apply for the final round of this year’s Chapter Spotlight award between April 22 and April 29, 2024.

We look forward to receiving evidence of outstanding activities being done at the chapter level across the society.

Take a look at some previous examples of successful Chapter Spotlight submissions.

Chapter can submit reports written by students in any of the following categories:

Academic Focus

This category will demonstrate how a chapter works to establish or maintain a project focused on supporting the academic growth of a target audience within their school or local community.

Community Engagement

The purpose of this category is to demonstrate how NEHS chapters are focused on promoting life-long learning and the celebration of reading, writing, film, and the arts in their local community.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

This category will demonstrate how NEHS chapters are promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in various forms within their school or local community.

Collaborative Projects

The purpose of this category is to demonstrate how NEHS chapters are working with other NEHS chapters, other high school Honor Societies, or Sigma Tau Delta and Sigma Kappa Delta chapters on collaborative projects impacting their school or local community.

Application Dates

More information about the Chapter Spotlight award, suggested activities and the documentation required to apply can be found on the NEHS website. Applications can be made via AwardSpring between April 22 and April 29, 2024.
