St. Louis-based Organizations Receive Grants

041619-Literacy Grant

During the recent Sigma Tau Delta 2019 International Convention in St. Louis, MO, two St. Louis organizations, Educators for Social Justice and We Stories, were each given $1,500 grants to continue their work within the greater St. Louis community.

Both organizations are focused on breaking down barriers between groups, particularly those barriers that arise from racial tension. NEHS has established a tradition of identifying organizations in each of the convention cities from year to year, applying the NEHS motto, “Gelast Sceal Mid Are,” Old English for “Duty Goes with Honor.” As an organization, we strive to make a difference in the lives of many.
