News Literacy Project

021219-From the Desk of the Director

Supporting students as they navigate the confusion of information that comes at them so rapidly through social media is a challenge. The importance of developing critical thinking skills is paramount in this technological age; recent changes to requirements in such courses as AP Seminar, AP Language, and now IB Language require educators to focus on the influence of language and media.

NEHS Advisors may find valuable curricula content and other resources by investigating the News Literacy Project  or Checkology. Much of the material available is free of charge.
